We know this can all be overwhelming to digest, but the minute we’re all back on the Megaformers together, we’ll feel stronger than ever.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely, and we’ll send updates accordingly, to ensure we’re prepared for any future changes to protocols and operating standards.

As businesses begin to reopen in California, the city of San Francisco has petitioned the state for a more efficient opening plan, and it was approved with new measures to be instituted on Wednesday next week. Previously, San Francisco fitness studios weren’t expected to reopen until mid August. Now, with the new plan in place, we have the opportunity to open sooner, and we need your voice.

The fitness industry is a critical influence to the health and wellbeing of San Francisco, and we need strength more than ever right now. Please help us ensure that CORE40 is able to reopen and continue serving our community.

Here’s who to contact with a request to allow fitness facilities to reopen as soon as possible (with all appropriate health and safety measures in place):

Message:

Hello,

I am urgently writing to call for the reopening of San Francisco fitness studios. With all appropriate health and safety measures in place at our local wellness facilities, our San Francisco community needs health-focused establishments more than ever right now. On behalf of our city’s wellbeing, please consider this my formal petition in support of reopening fitness studios by July 1st.

We’re beyond excited to say that YES, we will be able to reopen all SF locations when the time comes.

As we prepare to reopen our doors, your safety is our top priority. When we’re back together again, here’s how we’re going above and beyond to deliver the most effective workout in the safest environment.

CORE CLEANING PRINCIPLES

All high traffic surfaces will be sanitized regularly with electrostatic disinfectant, which is proven to kill COVID-19 in 60 seconds. Surfaces include (but not limited to): Megaformers, door knobs, restrooms, handrails, benches, computer screens, instructor iPad, and sound system rack.

All studios will have alcohol-based hand sanitizer readily available.

BEFORE CORE40

  • Time between classes will be increased from 10 minutes to 15 minutes so that instructors can limit the number of clients in the studio at a given time. E.g. clients from 6am class will all leave at the same time, before the instructor lets clients in for the next class. Clients will be asked to only arrive 5 minutes before the scheduled class starts.
  • We will be placing signs at the entrance reminding clients they need to keep 6’ distance, including when in line to enter the studio.
  • Clients are required to wear face covering when entering the studio. When classes start, clients are encouraged to keep the face covering on while receiving instructions, unless you have a medical exception.
  • Grip socks required.
  • Temperature check at the door using a no-touch thermometer.
  • Self check-in will be disabled for the time being. Instructors will be checking everyone in.
  • All clients are required to sign a new waiver online, prior to coming to the studio.
  • No walk-ins allowed. Clients must reserve a spot online.
  • Lockers, changing rooms, and water dispensers will not be in use. Please bring your own water and minimal personal belongings to class.
  • Megaformers will be sanitized with disinfecting wipes before class starts.

DURING CORE40

All CORE40 staff will wear a face mask and/or face shield while teaching and will refrain from giving any hands-on adjustments.

We’ll ensure the Megaformer machines are spaced such that all clients meet the 6’ distance required to ensure your safety.

AFTER CORE40

We will increase our daily sanitization protocols and standards for our CORE40 Cleaning Crew to follow.

Any staff member who exhibits symptoms consistent with COVID-19 will not return to the studio until they have completed COVID-19 testing and been cleared by a medical professional.

Megaformers will again be sanitized with disinfecting wipes.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Thank you for being the best clients in the universe.

We believe it’s all of our responsibility to ensure the health and wellness of our community, and we thank you in advance for staying home when you exhibit any symptoms.

We know this can all be overwhelming to digest, but the minute we’re all back on the Megaformers together, we’ll feel stronger than ever.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely, and we’ll send updates accordingly, to ensure we’re prepared for any future changes to protocols and operating standards.

And remember, together we rise.
